Google to unveil music search to rival iTunes Google is tipped to launch new music search pages this week in an effort to rival Apple’s retail music service iTunes.??According to reports coming out of the US, Google’s new music pages will package images of musicians and bands, album artwork, lyrics and song previews, along with a way to buy songs. A number of major music labels are reported to have already jumped on board including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner and EMI.

Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid Android Phone on EBay. Motorola Droid has popped up in an EBay auction. There have been 7 bids and you’ll need to put up $1,000+ to get in on the action, with the auction ending in 5 days. Seems like this seller just took pictures from the web and plans on selling the device the day he gets it on October 29th but no date has been set in stone by Verizon as of yet.

Amazon is already feeling the heat of competition. After the release of Barnes & Noble Nook e-book reader, Amazon dropped the price of its Kindle e-book reader. It also decided to stop the production of the U.S only version of Kindle e-book reader. The declaration came on October 22, 2009. Information Week reports:From three e-reader models, Amazon has reduced the number to two: one with a wireless connection that can roam internationally and the larger Kindle DX.
