The next time you are in a restaurant listening to some captivating tune and see other people in the restaurant signaling for others to be quiet as they hold their phone up to the ceiling, you may be witnessing someone using Shazam (dare I say Shazaming?) to try to discover the song which is playing. I have used the service quite often and I think it is amazing. It doesn’t always work but when it does I am thrilled as without it, I am not sure how I would figure out what I was listening to.

Before I even start, looks like it’s time to start using the new and official name for this phone as suggested by this spy shot . But we have all gotten so used to the code name that it is sticking to us like a bad habit. So here we have a rumor round up for the Motorola Sholes Droid, one of the most anticipated Android phones of the moment. Currently, it is pretty evident from all the pictures and rumors that the Droid is heading for the Verizon Wireless (and may be other places too ).

by admin on October 16, 2009 Motorola’s Droid as well as Google’s Android 2.0 hav been given a more definitive confirmation today with both a video (available below) and photos showing the two in action. The Android slider is seen to have a custom boot sequence that validates the “Droid” name and, more importantly, provides some of the first public details of the next-generation smartphone OS….

Some brief details of Google’s future Android 2.0 OS have recently been posted on IntoMobile, the details aren’t exactly revolutionary, however give us a quick insight into some features we should come to expect. It seems likely that Google Android 2.0 will be referred to as Eclair which carries on their strange naming of OS versions (previous versions have been known as Cupcake and Donut).
